No big IVF updates yet, just soup. Lots of it.
I’ve been cooking my way through the waiting, trying new recipes that feel like comfort in a bowl: French onion soup, roasted red pepper ravioli soup, and broccoli cheddar soup with shells — all from the amazing chef at Britta Cooks on Instagram.
There’s something grounding about following a recipe, stirring, tasting, and waiting for it to come together. It feels like practice for what I’m already doing — waiting for something to grow. Each pot feels like a small act of care, a reminder that even when life feels uncertain, I can still create warmth, nourishment, and little moments of joy.
Maybe that’s what the season’s teaching me: that waiting doesn’t have to be empty. It can smell like onions and roasted red peppers and taste like a hug in a bowl. Just like soup simmers, life and hope need gentle time to develop too.
